Legendary Souls Cemetery: 2014-2016
In elementary school, Chris started displaying a front-yard Halloween cemetery by creating simple cardboard tombstones and paper ghosts for his neighborhood's trick-or-treat. He continued the tradition each year through high school, but had to stop when he went off to college. After graduating he came back to the project with his new and improved skills in stagecraft. The tradition was reborn as the Legendary Souls Cemetery. The name comes from his custom-built tombstones where each stone has the name and a quote of a character from a horror or thriller film, television, or story. Improving on the paper and cardboard decorations, he built wooden set pieces, created simple animatronics, and developed lighting, sound, and projection effects. From 2014-2016, the display grew each year with additional and improved effects.
